Call Me Ismael??? Well don't call me crazy!
I have just returned from a trip to the "Land of Fruit", that is, Pearland, TX to see my son, his wife, and their darling children, Sidney, Liam and Evan. But the true heros of this visit are my counterparts in Texas, the "other" grandparents. They graciously offered us a spare bedroom, which we took advantage of. It's really hard sleeping (read getting up and down) on the floor on an inflatable mattress. Kudos to Woody and Viki. They even volunteered to "stay away" while we visited so as not to be a distraction to the kids. And, can you believe this, we all showed up at the same church service on Sunday. "A family that prays together, stays together" There are only good feeling when any or all of us are together. It's a shame we had to drive over 1950 miles, that's round trip. But back to the kids. These children are a throwback to the era when kids were seen and not heard! Anyone remember that! No constant repeatings from the parents. Lastly, when arriving at W&V's, we asked how either of us could raise such liberal kids? We all just threw our hands up! LOL! And that's the 1st and last time I use that......till later.
