The very first!

This is my 1st blog, inspired by my lovely daughter-in-law (can I just say daughter?) She and my son are in Pearland, TX.  The land of the fruit, as she says.  She is a lovely woman with 3 beautiful children (my grandchildren).  To comment on her latest blog, I have not seen any roaches in East Tennessee, I've been here for 15 months.  While it gets hot, in the low 90s, it has been very fall-like recently, with morning temps in the 60s, and highs in the mid to upper 80's.  There is a tree in our front yard that is starting to turn gold for fall.  Maybe I'll get to post a picture.  It has been dry.  Maybe some rain this weekend, but we won't be here, we'll be in Pearland visiting.  Like my son, I play bass guitar, and also guitar and drums.  I'm in the church band. Right now we're (my wife Susan) and I are in the process of moving, and I'm desperately seeking a motorcycle I can afford.  We're moving to the "country", in Greenback, TN.  About 250 yards North there is a rooster ranch, really this guy raises roosters.  To the East thru the forest is my landlord, to the South .5 miles is the Salem Road Baptist church, but for all practical purposes we're in a hayfield. Last week, our landlord cut the hay, and someone behind him rolled it up into bales.  Think I'm getting long winded, so sayonara!
